A level gauge is a sensor-based device that measures the height of a liquid in a closed or open system continuously or at points. The measurements are often used to control the start and stop of pumps, provide high or low level alarms, or log data for monitoring and documentation.
In many bypass pumpings and wastewater installations, the level gauge is the heart of the control system – it ensures that the pump only runs when needed and protects against dry running or flooding.
