RH Pumper has just completed an extensive bypass pumping project on Peder Lykkes Vej, where 9 portals were set up to maintain the flow during the work.
From Grønjordsvej to Englandsvej
The bypass pumpings start at Grønjordsvej, where the first portal of 48 meters and a clearance height of 5.20 is located across Amagerfælledvej. From here, the bypass pumpings extend all the way to Englandsvej, where special considerations for traffic were necessary. Englandsvej is a narrow and busy road and therefore the portal leg was placed across the top pipe. This solution minimized the width of the barrier, allowing traffic to flow with minimal disruption.
Traffic-friendly solutions along Peder Lykkes Vej
The Bypass pumpings are located between the cycle path and roadway along Peder Lykkes Vej. The many portals are set up so that traffic from the school road and bike paths could easily get onto the road, thus avoiding redirection. The slightly curved road required a special solution where one of the portals was angled 22 degrees. This detail ensured that the water could be diverted without problems, even on a curved stretch.
Environmentally friendly and quiet pumps
To ensure minimal inconvenience to both residents and the environment, three PX4 200mm 30KW electric pump units were used. These pumps are particularly environmentally friendly and quiet, making them ideal for densely built-up areas like this. The choice of electric pumps also contributes to a greener and more climate-friendly solution without compromising on performance.
All pumps are monitored 24/7 using SRO (Supervision, Regulation and Monitoring).
Taps are installed between all the portals. This makes it possible to empty the pipes of wastewater when the portals are dismantled.
RH Pumper is proud to deliver reliable, quiet and traffic-friendly solutions like this one, balancing efficiency, environmental considerations and climate-friendly methods.
