When a pipe in Lillerød was to be lined, it was crucial that the wastewater could continue to be transported safely throughout the work period. The solution was a professional overpumping setup dimensioned for 250 l/s – equivalent to up to 900 m³ per hour.
150 meters of DN 300 PE pipe with focus on environment and safety
The wastewater was pumped through a 150 meter long DN 300 PE pipeline. To ensure both environmental and operational safety, drains were established at the low points of the line.
This means that the pipe system can be emptied in a controlled manner – and that there is no risk of wastewater ending up in nature. An important detail when working with temporary bypass pumping.
Reliable electric pumps with intelligent control
Two electric pumps were used on the job, which together ensured both stable daily operation and peak capacity:
- PX-3-150-15KW – handled day-to-day operations
- NPX4-200-30KW – automatically switched on at peak loads
The peaks typically occurred:
- 05:00-08:00
- 11:30-13:00
- 17.00-21.00
With full SRO monitoring and intelligent control, the pumps were started and stopped exactly as needed. This minimized unnecessary operation and ensured an energy-optimized and climate-friendly solution.
Minimal inconvenience for residents
The entire installation was set up on a private property, with the pumps located on the residents’ terrace.
Here, the choice of electric pumps was crucial. Compared to traditional diesel pumps, electric pumps mean significantly less noise and no odors. For the residents, this meant that everyday life could continue almost undisturbed – even with a major overpumping solution on their doorstep.
Backup generator ensured continuous operation
Reliability is paramount when it comes to bypass pumping. That’s why a backup generator was installed to automatically switch on in the event of a power outage from the main grid.
This gave both client and customer extra peace of mind – and ensured that wastewater management was never interrupted during the approximately three weeks of the project.
Gentle installation with large crane
To minimize the impact on the private property, both pipes and pumps were lifted in with a large crane directly from the road.
This reduced traffic on the site and ensured that as little damage as possible was caused to the paving and garden areas. A practical solution that shows that efficient technology and consideration for the environment can easily go hand in hand.
The Bypass pumping in Lillerød is a good example of how RH Pumper combines technical expertise, reliable solutions and respect for both the environment and people.
A job done for a good customer – and done with the quality and care we stand for every time.
